Pa Hatfield's other daughter, Mary, didn't like guns as much as her sister Annie did. So her job was to find and pick wild greens to balance out the diet of the Hatfield family. Most any day you will find Mary out looking for the most tender lamb's-quarters, dock, dandelions and poke shoots to make her famous salads and greens which she will put on almost anything you can imagine.
