NEW Science & Math Day

Silver Dollar City proudly presents the first educational theme park event created for kids by kids! Mark your calendars for the Science & Math Day, April 12, 2012! Watch the website for event details.
This event works with current classroom curriculums to meet state and national standards by providing:

Pretest and concept preparatory lessons made available to participating school teachers before the event. For more specific curriculum and lesson plan information, please call 800-417-7770. |

Exciting, hands-on lessons developed by highly qualified secondary teachers with input from students. The lessons apply science and math concepts correlated to both state and national standards to be experienced at the park. Such concepts include measurement, estimation, gravity, motions, forces, and systems.

Marvel Cave activities aligned to geological and environmental standards. |

Higher-level DOK investigations based on inquiry generated activities outside the regular classroom. |

Authentic experiences by allowing students to gather data firsthand and apply what they’ve learned to a real situation. |

Differentiated instruction through multiple processes, reaching a variety of learning styles.

Post event comprehensive summative online exam will give students and teachers instant feedback on the knowledge gained through the experience.
